Late one night, as Adriana and Ariadne are talking, Tristan and Quinn show up in the room. At first, they think
nothing of it, until the two of them begin to get overly affectionate with each other. They explain that they are from
a possible future and that they have come, seeking assistance in preventing this future from becoming a reality. In
this future, Insa is dead, Casey was carved out of being Niflheim, Quinn is still an exile, and Robin is the king of Niflheim.
Things are really bad for everyone involved, but the whole situation is easily preventable. Adriana has some reservations,
but she and Ariadne agree to help.
Quinn whisks the girls off to the realm of Araba, where Jaan and Robin are staying. He explains that the tipping
point comes when Robin accidentally harms a young boy named Patrick, who happens to be his soulmate's son. Quinn quickly
departs, afraid of Robin reading his mind and seeing the future. Adriana and Ariadne explore, Adriana quickly identifying
Robin, as she saw him in a vision. When he accidentally knocks over a flower pot, which nearly hits Patrick on the head,
the girls easily prevent disatser. Unfortunately, Robin sees them.
When Robin starts to question the sudden and strange arrival of these two girls, he chances to read Ariadne's mind.
Ariadne is looking at possible futures and in one of them, she sees Robin as king of Niflheim with Adriana as his queen.
Lost and confused, Robin knocks Ariadne into a wall and she passes out. He grabs Adriana and pulls her through the shadows,
into another part of the realm. A little while later, Jaan finds Ariadne and she tells him to bring her to Quinn.
They return to the Phoenix House and Quinn learns of the abduction.
Meanwhile, in Araba, Robin starts questioning Adriana about what he saw. She admits that she had a vision of him
once, during which he imprinted on her. Robin is fascinated by the notion, becoming more and more tempted. Although
he cannot imprint on Adriana now, he knows that Hesiod, the rogue carver, has the ability to help him fall in love again.
The temptation proves to be too great and Robin grabs Adriana, taking her to Niflheim. There, he breaks Hesiod out of
Niflheim prison and restores his carver's staff to him.
Before Hesiod can do anything, however, Quinn and Tristan show up on the scene. They trap Hesiod in a strange,
futuristic box, which they give to Adriana. Robin is immediately remorseful and apologizes for kidnapping Adriana and
hurting Ariadne. He is quickly forgiven by all. Quinn and Tristan return Adriana to the Phoenix House before vanishing
completely. Although it seems their future timeline has been prevented, Jaan is unsettled by a subtle change in Robin's
personality. It seems the experience has impacted him more than anyone really knows.
