Aden, Philip, and Adriana return to the Phoenix House with Kit. At the front door, they discover a confused Human
traveler, trying to get in. Casey, on the other side of the door, refuses to permit him inside of the House until Philip
threatens to break down the door. Inside, the man explains that he is there to visit Lex. Casey tries to convince
him that Lex doesn't live there, but when Lex comes down to the lobby, she recognizes him as her uncle and runs away.
He follows after her. Kit is amazed to have just seen her father.
In the kitchen, Lex confronts her uncle about all the abuse he subjected her to as a child. He claims that he has
come solely as an uncle, not a genetic scientist, and that he wants to meet his grand niece. Lex is skeptical, convinced
that he's come to experiment on her and on her friends. To test him, she asks him to tell her about her birth father.
He equivocates, unable or perhaps unwilling to tell her the dreadul truth she already knows. Lex forbids him to have
anything to do with Lily, but he nevertheless takes the first opportunity he can get to investigate the children in the nursery.
There, she admits she knows he's her father.
The next morning, Lex approaches Kit. They discuss their new relationship, though Lex is unable to admit thet they're
really sisters and not cousins. She offers to come to Sybok and help Kit out until she gets some new helpers, but Kit
is reluctant to accept. Lex continues to offer her things, but Kit claims she wants nothing. In fact, she has
decided not to tell her father who he really is. This surprises Lex, who holds that Kit deserves some money.
That evening, Casey bursts into Lex's room, completely hysterical. She reveals that she's been spying on her uncle
and has discovered a paper among his things that disturbs her. Lex reads the note which talks of an urgent desire to
experiment on a female with blond hair and blue eyes who, according to Adriana's files, possesses unique and powerful bloodlines.
Horrified, Lex takes this to mean that her uncle plans to experiment on Lily. Angrily, she resolves to remove him from
both the House and her life once and for all.
Casey and Lex storm his guest room, demanding to be let in. When no answer comes, Casey gives Lex her skeleton
key and the two of them bust in. They are shocked to find him experimenting not on Lily, but on an unconscious and heavily
medicated Kit. Lex decks her uncle. She reveals that Kit is his daughter, completely shocking him. Just
then, Milady bursts in through the window. She admits the Ebene have been watching Lex's uncle for weeks and offers
him a position with the Ebene. He responds by breaking a pitri dish in her face. Lex and Casey join in, ganging
up on Milady and she flees.
Lex and her uncle uneasily settle their differences. He apologizes for his past mistreatment of her and they agree
to try and improve their relationship. Lex agrees to let him be part of Lily's life. He, in turn, promises to
make a donation to the House. Both hope that they can form a lasting relationship with Kit in the future.
