The Dagmarettes

Philip receives an urgent telegram from Shiz.  Damon is ill and the healers cannot determine what's wrong with him.  Since Damon's mother, Drusilla, was dying of an STD, Philip is afraid that Damon might have been born with the disease as well.  In order to find out what was killing Drusilla, he asks Adriana to use magic to pull Drusilla out of the Guardian timeline and into the Phoenix House so she can be tested.  Adriana and Philip perform the spell, but their focus is broken.  Instead of Drusilla, they inadvertantly pull Adriana's socialite friends, Dagmar, Vanessa, Melena, and Jocelyn, into the Phoenix House.  In addition, they conjure up Dagmar's brother and Vanessa's husband Ian, who was one of Adriana's first lovers.

Drained from the spell, Adriana declares that the "Dagmarettes" will have to stay for a few days and so they are assigned rooms.  While the women all complain without end, Ian gets on well with everyone.  He speaks with Adriana, confessing to her that he doesn't love Vanessa and that he tried to get out of the marriage to be with Adriana.  Vanessa overhears this conversation.  Furious, she tries to get her revenge by seducing Philip.  Philip is less than responsive, however, and abandons Vanessa.

Meanwhile, Aden converses with Dagmar.  She attempts to use her womanly wiles on him.  Aden, who blames Dagmar for much of the damage done to Adriana's self esteem as a teenager, is cold to her.  He threatens to reveal the truth about her part-Ebene heritage if she isn't cordial to Adriana.  Filled with panic, Dagmar shares the encounter with Ian.  Much to her annoyance, he is thrilled by the idea of their dark family secret getting out.  Since this is what Vanessa's parents held over his head to force him to marry her, he welcomes the opportunity to come clean.

The next day, Tranns and Dagmar run into each other in the lobby.  When Dagmar calls Tranns a whore and a mutt, Adriana turns a blind eye and Tranns punches Dagmar out.  After seeing the scene, Vanessa pulls Adriana aside for a second attempt at revenge.  She tries to convince Adriana that she caught Tranns and Aden kissing, unaware that they are brother and sister.  Adriana is less than convinced.  Meanwhile, Dagmar and her lackeys take out their frustrations by cornering poor Ariadne and giving her a bad makeover, laughing at her expense until Adriana and Ian manage to break them up.

Driven mad with determination to win her revenge, Vanessa goes to the kitchen and steals several chemicals.  She takes them up to the nursery and prepares a deadly bottle for Galen.  Philip catches her in the act and, smelling the poisons, drags her down into the lobby.  The Dagmarettes, Aden, Ian, and Adriana all gather as Philip shouts at her.  Frustrated, Vanessa loses her cool and tells everyone that Ian and Dagmar are only half blooded Hylians.  This shocks and scandalizes the Dagmarettes, but gives Ian the courage he needs to ask Vanessa for a divorce.

Philip and Adriana arrange to have them all sent back to their proper tiemline.  Ian bids Adriana a fond farewell, thanking her for everything.  She tells him that he will always remain one of the few good things about her past.  A few days later, Philip receives a second telegram from Shiz.  Damon is on the mend and did not catch any disease from Drusilla.
