Gladiators

In an attempt to smooth things over following the BTL crisis, Ariadne and Philip decide to take leave.  Following Ariadne's elogium, which has unknown effect on Philip, the two pack up and head to Hyrule where they board a luxury ship, bound for the depths of the Alastrian Sea.  Things are beginning to improve for the two of them, but a sudden emergency gets in the way.  Without seeming to strike anything, the ship begins to sink.  The passengers board lifeboats and head out into the open sea.  With two Human passengers, Ariadne and Philip's boat comes upon an uncharted island.

They discover a remote Hylian village in the foliage.  A young woman named Gloria leads them to the village leader Aravis and his wife, Illisa, who takes an immediate fancy to Philip.  The Humans are taken to lodging while Ariadne and Philip are put up in Aravis' manor.  The next morning, Philip wakes to find Ariadne gone.  He goes to Aravis and Illisa, demanding to know where she is.  Illisa assures him she has merely been taken to a bath house and Philip is invited to join them for breakfast.  At the meal, Aravis explains the way of life of the village.  They seem a rather peaceful, although reclusive bunch.  Impressive though they are, as the day wears on and Illisa's advances continue, Philip grows more concerned about Ariadne's whereabouts.

At noon, Philip is invited to join the rest of the village as they assemble for a ritual fight, apparently the most popular form of entertainment on the island.  There, he is shocked to see Ariadne thrust into the arena to fight against a Risan man twice her size.  Ariadne just barely manages to win, revealing her demon form.  Aravis and Illisa demand that she kill her defeated opponent.  When Ariadne refuses, Aravis signals archers to kill them both.  Philip springs down into the arena to defend Ariadne.  With a heavy heart, Aravis sentences Philip to life in the arena for his betrayal of "his own kind."

In a dungeon, Ariadne explains how she was abducted.  The island is a small, splintered faction of the Knights of Genetic Purity and unlike their zealous parent faction, the islanders favor the destruction of all non-Hylian races, not just half breeds.  Philip and Ariadne's reunion is short-lived.  Illisa brings Gloria into Philip's cell, demanding that he mate with her in order to conserve his genes.  Philip's refusal enrages her and she decides to pair him against the champion fighter, Telemon, who has killed dozens in the arena.  To even the playing field, she has a blacksmith put a magic inhibitor on him so that he cannot fight back using his powers.

Philip is dragged into the arena under a threat to Ariadne's life.  He faces off against Telemon, a particularly strong Saiyan who gives him a sound beating.  Realizing that he cannot win the fight under these conditions, Philip talks to Telemon, appealing to his conscience and begging him to join up with him to fight against the Hylians.  Telemon is reluctant, but he finally agrees.  Together, he and Philip break into the dungeon and free all the other prisoners.

With Philip at the lead, the fighters manage to overpower the Hylians and round them up onto boats bound for Risa.  For extra measure, the prisoners destroy the structures of the island, guaranteeing that no more barbaric civilizations will arise.  Satisfied, Philip and Ariadne depart for Hyrule to visit Damon before returning back to the Phoenix House.  It is there, in the shadow of the awful ordeal, that Ariadne realizes her elogium has caused Philip to develop an Andorian sack on his back, meaning that sometime in the future, she and Philip might be able to reproduce.
